Children with a stolen childhood - that is perhaps the best way to describe the little abandoned, homeless children who come to the Centre. It is difficult to believe that most of these children have living parents. Yes, they have parents; but they have no childhood. They have had to grow up in difficult conditions because of the negligence and carelessness of their own relatives.

The Centre really rehabilitates and treats children's souls. Almost all the children who come to this institution suffered physical or psychological violence at the hands of relatives, parents, friends - people whom they trusted and loved most of all. Without exaggerating, we can say that many of them saw in their early years such things that the majority of adults will never see in a lifetime. Pedagogical neglect, increased anxiety, low self-esteem; these are just some of the items from the list of actual problems that must be urgently resolved. The serious work of teachers and psychologists is really necessary.

An important task of the specialists of the Centre is the social rehabilitation of children who come to the "City of Happy Children." The main goal is to teach them to communicate, to restore their trust in people, and to teach them respect for themselves and others. Our children always know about the latest society news, they have active contacts with peers, and they are open to communication with adults.

Pre-school program

Early development is extremely important to child's future. Every child who comes to our Center is different and needs an assessment of educational abilities, some redirection, training and tutoring.This program is tailored to the unique strength and needs of each child. So you can contribute to help us make such important individualized tutoring possible.

Children's Aesthetic Educational Program

With a variety of opportunities, each child can find something they enjoy and may be an accomplishment in which they can be proud. Activities can open new world for children, help manage fear or stress, or build self-esteem. Our staff and volunteers actively seek supervised activities that can enrich the children's stay while in Center.

Children's leisure Program

High quality leisure time is extremely beneficial for children, helps them to socialize and enriches them in many different ways. We organize year-round outdoor trips, to the zoo, Dolphinarium, movie theaters, circus etc. We have planned to cooperate with Kiev racecourse to ensure that children can attend riding classes. Financing of this program is provided depending on the capabilities and wishes of patrons and benefactors.

"Make a Child's Dream Come True" / "Box of Wishes" Program

The "City of Happy Children" has initiated a permanent campaign called Box of Wishes. To see what it would take to make a dream come true for each child, you have only to look in the box of children's wishes. These are carefully "monitored" and made available at the website of the organisation. You can contribute financially to make children's wishes come true.

In the framework of social rehabilitation program the charity organization "City of Happy Children" invites celebrities and famous people to cooperation. They can play an influential role as reputable leaders for children and grant them some joy of communication.

Birthday is a special day for everyone and for kids is one of the most important days in the year. And because for some of our children it might be their first birthday party ever, we make the celebration bright, cheerful and memorable.
