Solomiya is the daughter of a fallen Defender of Ukraine. She waited very much for her father to return after the war and be able to take care of her again. But the war cut these dreams short. The loss of the dearest person became a huge trial for the girl, and our team helps her every day to believe in herself, feel her own dignity, and learn to love life again.

Our educator Valeriy Volodymyrovych knew how valuable the things given to the girl by her father were — the military jacket and the bag with his callsign “Fakt”. Unfortunately, during a stay at a sanatorium these things were stolen, and Solomiya experienced this loss very painfully.

Then Valeriy decided to make a surprise for her. He contacted her father’s comrades-in-arms, went through an identity check — and in just a few months the brigade commander handed him a new bag with the callsign and the unit’s emblem, signed and supplemented with warm wishes from the soldiers.

During the festive dinner, Valeriy solemnly presented this gift to Solomiya. We all witnessed how tears of sadness turned into tears of joy.

It was a moment of returning a piece of her father — a symbol of a connection that will never be broken.
