Kindness Marathon Was Held!

On October 7, the biggest running event of the year took place in Kiev, the main goal of which was the Charity Fundraising Marathon among runners.

As part of the 2018 Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon, a Fundraising Marathon organized by Run Ukraine together with the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace, the main charity partner, was held. Fundraising Marathon united Charitable Funds, which from September 3 to October 12 raise funds for various social projects.

Helping Centre “The City of Happy Children” for the second time takes part in the Marathon and has three wonderful runners who decided to run their own Kindness Marathon and help raise funds to pay for the Center’s utilities and provide water, electricity and heat.

The slogan of the charity marathon is “Everybody did it for the first time!” Therefore, for the first time this year, from the kids-orphans’ team there were some wonderful benefactors:

– one of the best and most reputable scouts in Ukraine, expert and jury member of the popular TV show “ Ukrainian Supermodel ” – Sergey Nikityuk (collected 30 000 UAH https://ubb.org.ua/uk/project/4370/)

– owner, ideological mentor, beauty expert – Sergey Kukhtin (collected 25 000 UAH https://ubb.org.ua/uk/project/4335/)

– a talented actor, Hollywood films’ star – Arthur Ignatenko (collected 5000 UAH https://ubb.org.ua/uk/project/4334/).

At the Marathon, the runners met with several wards of the Helping Center, who came to support them during the running race. The children personally had the opportunity to say “Thank you” to their benefactors and give medals for the first place. Indeed, for children, our ambassadors are winners, despite the time in which they will overcome the distance.

Champions are those who do everything with a good heart! And the Charity Marathon has become for all one of the proofs that running is a driving force.

We are happy that we could be a part of the good deeds of the strongest ones!
