Visiting the princess

There is no limit to our happiness! For the next five days we are visiting Princess Sophia Johanna Maria of Prussia. Sophia is the wife of Georg Friedrich, the head of the House of Hohenzollern and the great-great-grandson of the last German emperor, Wilhelm II. Wilhelm II abdicated in 1918, after which the monarchy in Germany was abolished. Princess Sophia Johanna Maria of Prussia belongs to the princely and county family of Isenburg.

Sofia grew up in the castle of Birstein. She first attended St. Mary’s Primary School in Frankfurt, then a boarding school. The princess had internships in London, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Sofia graduated from the University of Freiburg and Humboldt University of Berlin with a degree in banking. Burg Hohenzollern, where the princess lives and where we are guests,

is an ancient castle-fortress in Baden-Württemberg, in the former Principality of Hohenzollern-Gehringen, 50 kilometers south of Stuttgart, on the Hohenzollern Mountain in the Swabian Alps.
