Yaroslav and Sofia are an example of how important a biological mother is for kids. Even if they move to not the best living conditions, they will live very modestly. But still, their mother is the most precious thing for them.

It is important for us that, you know, that children leave our Helping Centre and find themselves not only in new families. Sometimes children return to their biological parents. To parents who found the strength to change, quit alcohol, drugs, started a new life and learned their lessons. All this takes time and at such moments  kids can wait in a safe and good place like our Centre. We taught children to speak, not to be afraid to say what they need, what they feel. This is a new foundation for constructive relationships.

It is a great happiness for children to be close to their mother. And we, together with social workers, support them.

The story of Sofia and Yaroslav is hope for us and other kids. We really believe that everything will be fine in this family.

But we’ll continue to follow how the siblings’ life will be working out.
