Mama Manana

Yesterday was a special day for our children – they visited the Georgian restaurant Mama Manana, where they took part in a masterclass on making real Adjarian khachapuri.

Adjarian khachapuri is one of the most famous dishes of Georgian cuisine. It is a boat of fluffy dough filled with cheese, butter and an egg. It is not simply eaten – it is cooked and savoured with special love, because in Georgia this dish has long been a symbol of home warmth, hospitality and the family table.

And it is exactly this kind of hospitality that the Mama Manana team has been welcoming our children with for many years.

For us it has become a good tradition. The children always look forward to these visits, because it is more than just going to a restaurant. It is a chance to feel like welcome guests, to learn something new, to talk and laugh, to create their own dish with their own hands and then taste it with pride.

The masterclass brought so many genuine emotions: the little cooks diligently rolled out the dough, laid out the cheese, shaped the famous “boat” and watched with delight as their khachapuri turned into true culinary masterpieces.

We sincerely thank the whole Mama Manana team for your many years of friendship with our Child Support Center. For your open hearts, sincere care, warm welcome and unfailing wish to give the children new experiences.

Childhood is made of moments like these. And thanks to friends like these, it becomes even happier.
