A year ago, our Centre received a request from one of the services of the capital to shelter three children, siblings who really needed our professional help. A year later, we fell in love with these kids and can share their stories with our readers …
So… meet elder sister Diana, she’s 13 years old. This is a very sensitive, kind and vulnerable girl. And how could she, the poor thing, survive, because she had to take care not only of herself, but also of her two younger brothers. And at home there was a real hell. Always drunk and ruthlessly aggressive mother, who could not only brutally beat her children, but wake them up at night by pouring cold water. Diana, on the other hand, had to protect her brothers, and not get in sight of her mother, and please her grandmother.
With us, Diana learned to worry not only about her younger brothers, but also about herself, she began to trust adults. The girl is proactive, open and responsible. It is not known yet how long the kids will remain in our Centre and what their future fate will be, so we continue to help them and do our best to make Diana’s smile shine more and more often.
